Field Service EngineerSelectek is hiring for a Field Service Engineer in the Colorado Springs, CO area. The Field Service Engineer is responsible for providing technical support, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of ion implantation equipment at customer sites. This job requires regular collaboration with team members and the ability to communicate clearly and professionally across diverse teams and cultures.

Relocation assistance available to qualified candidates!Job Duties & ResponsibilitiesPerform installation, start-up, qualification, maintenance, and repair of ion implantation equipment at customer sitesDiagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and vacuum system issues, utilizing schematics, manuals, and diagnostic toolsExecute preventive maintenance (PM) procedures and equipment upgrades in accordance with company standardsRespond to service calls and minimize equipment downtime through effective problem resolutionAccurately document service activities, including field service reports, parts usage, and technical findingsInterface directly with customers to provide status updates, technical explanations, and recommendationsSupport root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)Maintain and manage assigned tools, test equipment, and service inventoryEnsure compliance with all safety standards, including customer LOTO (Lockout/Tagout), electrical safety, and site-specific requirementsAssist in equipment acceptance testing, process qualification, and performance validation activitiesProvide basic operational guidance and training to customer personnel when requiredEscalate complex technical issues to engineering or factory support teams as appropriateSupport installation planning, including site readiness verification and coordination with logistics teamsParticipate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service quality, reliability, and efficiencyMaintain a high level of professionalismRequired:5+ years of experience in ion implanter systems.Knowledge of ion implanter principles and practices.Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, and vacuum technologies.Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical documentation.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with customers, vendors, and global team members.Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and operate with minimal supervision.Experience working effectively with diverse, global, and cross-cultural teams.Strong analytical skills, including data gathering, analysis, and interpretation.Proficiency with PCs and standard business software (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Workspace, and MS Teams).Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.Valid driver's license.Preferred:Bachelor's degree in electronics, Mechanical, or Software Engineering, or a related field.Sponsorship: No - U.S. CitizenSalary Range: $90,000 - $135,000 + OT eligiblePay method when direct: Hourly + OTHours & Shift: Monday – Friday, 8-5 + occasional OT as neededWork from home: occasionally but mostly expected to be onsite Monday - FridayWorking remote: NoOvertime: Yes, will get paid hourly + OTTravel: RareWork Attire: Business casualDoes the Client Require a background check and drug test: Yes Please contact Lizzie Johns at or for more information.
