Our mission is to help customers uncover the insights they need to improve the world around us.As a Field Service Engineer, you will be a key technical resource supporting Agilent's IVD biopsy tissue stainer instrumentation systems and other multi-vendor solutions.

You'll work in a variety of laboratory environments, applying your technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and customer-first mindset to ensure optimal instrument performance and customer satisfaction.This role is ideal for individuals who thrive on continuous learning, enjoy hands-on work, and value building strong customer relationships.Responsibilities:Perform on-site installation, implementation, maintenance, and repair of Agilent and third-party systems, including hardware, software, networking products, and operating systemsOptimize system configurations and troubleshoot performance issuesDeliver preventive maintenance, upgrades, and emergency repairsRespond promptly to service requests and proactively communicate with customers throughout the service processAdvise customers on preventive maintenance and configuration best practices to ensure optimal performanceCollaborate with managers and sales teams to align service delivery with customer expectationsMaintain compliance with Agilent policies and uphold our reputation for exceptional customer serviceProvide feedback to Product Specialists, manufacturing teams, and OEM vendors regarding performance anomaliesDocument service activities, time, and expenses accurately in SAP and other systemsTrain customers and fellow engineers on equipment operation and maintenanceSupport complaint handling and quality systems as requiredTerritory Coverage:This is a multistate territory with primary coverage in Philadelphia, and the Northeastern U.S. regularly.The ideal candidate must reside within a 60-mile radius of Philadelphia.Travel will include daily, overnight, and occasional weekend travel, as needed, primarily throughout the Northeastern US region.The ability to travel to support clients throughout the U.S. is a requirement.Ability to travel up to 50% or more.Job Requirements:Must consent to and meet Agilent-approved customer/vendor credentialing requirements to access customer sites.

These may include proof of identification, certifications, and compliance with health and safety protocols.QualificationsHigh school diploma, military training, associate degree, or relevant college coursework in electronics or a related field requiredBachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or a related science field is a plus4+ years of experience in a similar role or as an end user of clinical/analytical instrumentation in regulated lab environmentsHands-on experience with instrumentation maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair preferredFamiliarity with Agilent biopsy tissue stainers is a plusStrong problem-solving and communication skillsProficient in computer systems; able to analyze data using Excel (pivot tables) and complete online training modulesAgilent proudly welcomes candidates with military experience.Relevant MOS/AFSC codes include: 15F, 15B, 15D, 25Q, 25S, 25U, 1U0X1, 2A3XX, 2T270, ET, FT, 1733, 1734, 1736, 1737Travel Required:100% of the TimeShift:DayDuration:No End DateJob Function:Services & Support
