SUMMARY
The Field Service Engineer provides advanced technical support for NBE equipment with a primary focus on controls, automation, and PLC troubleshooting. This role is responsible for diagnosing complex equipment issues, developing and implementing programming modifications, and optimizing system performance both remotely and at customer sites. While a strong understanding of mechanical systems is beneficial, this position is primarily intended for an engineer with controls expertise who enjoys solving complex technical problems and is willing to travel to support customers in the field.
This position frequently requires out-of-town travel approximately 40 weeks per year, typically one week (Monday-Friday) or less per onsite visit, working directly with NBE customers and contractors to troubleshoot, commission, and support NBE equipment.
There is a broad pay range posted for this position. Compensation is dependent on experience and qualifications.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose controls, automation, and electrical issues on NBE equipment at customer sites and remotely.
  • Develop, modify, and implement PLC and HMI programming solutions to resolve equipment issues and optimize performance.
  • Commission, start up, and validate new equipment installations at customer facilities.
  • Provide technical support to customers and contractors during installation, startup, and operation of NBE equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • 2+ years of experience in machine building, installation and/or machine repair environment required.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems is required, including the ability to read schematics.
  • Experience with RSLogix 500/5000/Siemens (or similar) is required.
  • Available for travel approximately 40 weeks per year, typically one week (Monday-Friday) or less per out-of-town, onsite visit, is required.

Pay Range: $30 - $45 per hour
