Power System Equipment Specialist

In this role, you'll take the lead in supporting customers and field teams with the operation, inspection, maintenance, and repair of a variety of power system equipment. This includes systems related to power delivery, drives, and controls. You'll play a key part in keeping critical equipment up and running while helping guide on-site activities.

Work Model: Remote (with travel)

What You'll Do

- Follow all safety policies and procedures, both internal and on customer sites

- Install, maintain, repair, and commission equipment related to power delivery, control systems, outages, and power quality

- Support planned and unplanned outages as needed

- Work closely with field engineers and leadership to execute projects efficiently

- Build strong working relationships with teammates and customers

- Deliver a high level of service that helps drive repeat business and referrals

What You Bring

- High school diploma and 9+ years of hands-on experience in power systems, commissioning, testing, or maintenance

(Formal education can be substituted for experience on a year-for-year basis)

- Experience working with electrical systems such as:

  • Medium- and low-voltage switchgear
  • Power panels and motor control centers (MCCs)
  • Generators and transformers
  • Electromechanical equipment
  • Protective relays (testing and installation)
  • PLCs and DCS systems
  • Electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics
  • Testing equipment and instrumentation
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 60%
