Responsibilities:

    n
  1. Provides service support to customers through maintaining equipment located at customer site by performing the maintenance, repair, and installation.
  2. n
  3. Services mobile, general radiographic, R&F, DR, and cardiovascular equipment by providing diagnostic maintenance, repairs, and installation. Perform independently in both routine and complex tasks.
  4. n
  5. Completes all administrative duties in a timely, accurate, and professional manner. This includes but is not limited to: service ticket completion and submission, time card completion and submission, expense reporting, site log reporting, parts inventory management, FDA reporting, radiation badge compliance, tools & test equipment care and maintenance.

  7. Exercises budgetary responsibility and integrity regarding use of replacement parts and other matters that would have a financial impact on company and service profitability.
  8. n
  9. Assists other field service engineers with workload and must also be available for call in and travel for training as required.
  10. n
  11. Consistently work with end users and utilizes all available resources to troubleshoot a problem and be able to identify solutions in a timely manner.

  13. Assists the sales department in identifying service sales opportunities, i.e., service agreements, contracts, new business opportunities.
  14. n
  15. Shares knowledge with co-workers and participates in a team environment to achieve assigned objectives.
  16. n
  17. Maintains a strong standard of performance by ensuring a low percentage of repeat calls, executes timely completion/follow up, seeks additional assignments, follows manufactures recommended procedures, demonstrates reliability/consistency of work performed, and plans the work schedule.

Education and Experience:

n
    n
  1. Associate degree in electronics or equivalent military training:
  2. n
  3. High School diploma or GED required.
  4. n
  5. Military/ Vocational training a plus
  6. n
  7. Experience: 3-5 years’ installation and service of DR detectors and/or Radiographic Medical Imaging Equipment.
  8. n
n

Skills and Abilities:

n
    n
  1. Valid driver’s license and is insurable, Travel via car to customer sites. Must maintain personal vehicle.
  2. n
  3. Good mechanical aptitude and ability to perform basic electrical troubleshooting.
  4. n
  5. Ability to follow a schematic diagram.
  6. n
  7. Computer skills with knowledge of DICOM, Microsoft Windows applications and networking.
  8. n
  9. Good organization skills, applies high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  10. n
  11. Ability and willingness to serve On-call duty on a scheduled rotation.
  12. n
  13. Quality and customer service driven to consistently meet/exceed INTERNAL or EXTERNAL customer expectations.
  14. n
  15. Team player who is willing to go above and beyond to help others.
  16. n
  17. Good time management skills can work independently with minimal supervision.
  18. n
  19. Possible overnight travel and extended stay on short notice including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

  21. Scopes, meters, and test equipment provided. Must have own hand tools.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  1. On-call/standby/overtime may be assigned
  2. n
  3. Ability to travel to other locations as required.
  4. n
  5. Ability to make repairs in very cramped and difficult to access areas.
  6. n
  7. Typically performs work in a hospital or imaging center.
  8. n
  9. May have exposure to x-ray radiation.
  10. n
  11. Must be able to climb and work on ladders.
  12. n
  13. Must be able to carry equipment up or down stairs.
  14. n
  15. Lift 50lbs unassisted.
  16. n
