Facility Services EngineerASRC Federal Facilities Logistics, a subsidiary of ASRC Federal, is seeking a Facility Services Engineer at Vandenberg SFB, CA.Key Role:Support the Spaceport Systems team at Vandenberg SFB by operating and maintaining the Integrated Processing Facility (IPF) for processing space hardware in preparation for launch. Perform preventative maintenance, repairs and installs for critical IPF systems including: facility control systems, power generation, fire detection, UPS, HVAC, and other electrical and mechanical systems.Perform operations, maintenance (preventative and emergency) repairs, and maintenance engineering that encompasses the critical facilities systems utilized during spacecraft processingTroubleshoot equipment utilizing mechanical drawings and electronic schematicsPerform detailed and accurate record keeping, complete documentation including, logbooks, work orders, and purchase requisitionsSet up and operate test equipment to evaluate performance of critical facility systems under simulated operating conditions, record result and provide data/quality records at project reviews.Collect and provide analysis of technical dataCollaborate with other departments as necessary to meet customer requirementsProvide customer interface for technical issues during payload processingHandle materials, including operating a fork truck, and participate in critical spare part controlOccasionally participate in on-call rotation and work extended hours when requiredMake recommendations for operational improvement for facility systemsFollow Safety, Health, and Environmental policies and proceduresRequirements:Associate's degree in mechanical engineering or related technical field and 3+ years of experience in complex mechanical maintenance and repair, or H.S. diploma and 5+ years of experience in complex mechanical maintenance and repairRead, understand, and work from Standard Operating Procedures, electrical drawings, and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)Experience working around space vehicle flight hardware, and clean room operations and protocolsAbility to work independently within a cross-functional teamAble to supervise contractors and vendors performing work in the facility as neededCapable of walking and moving around job siteActive TS/SCI clearance (or ability to obtain)Preferred Additional Skills:6+ years of Integrated Processing Facility experienceIn depth knowledge of OSHA regulationsAbility to multi-task and manage/accommodate multiple projectsOperations, maintenance, repair, installation and testing of the following systems:Pneumatic/Compressed Air SystemsHVAC/Clean Room SystemsSewage and Water systemsElectrical SystemsDigital Control SystemsEmergency Power systemsChill water systemsAir handlersPneumatic actuatorsDesiccant dryersDiesel generatorsUn-Interruptible power suppliesReciprocating & centrifugal compressorsMoisture & particulate filtrationMaintenance Management and SchedulingInventory & sparesCrane Operations and Protocols and sustainmentWe invest in the lives of our employees, both in and out of the workplace, by providing competitive pay and benefits packages.
