Field Service TechnicianFelder Group USA is seeking a Field Service Technician to install, troubleshoot, and repair industrial woodworking machinery across the greater Los Angeles area and surrounding regions. This role combines mechanical and electrical troubleshooting with independent field service work and customer-facing technical support. Technicians work both in the field and at the local facility supporting service operations, machine demonstrations, and equipment preparation.
Technicians work closely with Service Planners who coordinate scheduling, travel, and logistics.Key Responsibilities Field Service:Install, troubleshoot, and repair industrial woodworking machinery at customer sites (residential and commercial)Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and operational machine issues independentlyDocument service work, parts usage, and findings accurately and promptlyCommunicate service needs, parts requirements, and job status to customers and internal teamsRecommend appropriate spare parts and service solutions as neededParticipate in trade shows and customer-facing technical eventsIn-Office & Technical Support:Provide technical support via phone, email, and videoSupport machine demonstrations with sales representativesAssist with showroom and warehouse setup, machine preparation, and equipment serviceSupport general organization and upkeep of shop and showroom areasCoordinate with Service Planners regarding scheduling, travel, and service assignmentsQualifications Required:Experience in field service, mechanical repair, electrical systems, or technical supportStrong troubleshooting and diagnostic skillsAbility to work independently in field environmentsExcellent communication skills (verbal and written)Basic computer proficiency (email, Microsoft Office, service systems)Valid driver's licenseAbility to lift 50 lbs and work in physical environmentsWillingness to travel and stay overnight when requiredBenefits & Equipment:Health, dental, and vision insuranceRetirement planPaid vacation, sick time, and holidaysPaid training (domestic and international opportunities)Company-provided tools, laptop, and cell phoneCompany vehicle for local assignmentsPer diem for field assignmentsPaid travel time at full hourly rateOvertime opportunities
