About the Opportunity
Our client, a growing medical equipment service organization, is seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer II to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair critical medical equipment at hospitals and healthcare facilities.
This role is ideal for a field service professional with strong electronic and electro-mechanical troubleshooting skills who enjoys solving complex technical problems and working directly with customers.
You'll help healthcare providers minimize equipment downtime and keep essential, life-saving technology operating at peak performance.
What You'll Do
• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair medical equipment at customer locations
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, software, hardware, and networking issues
• Perform preventive maintenance and ensure equipment meets manufacturer specifications
• Respond to equipment issues and restore systems quickly and efficiently to minimize downtime
• Provide technical support both onsite and remotely to customers and fellow Field Service Engineers
• Build and maintain strong relationships with assigned hospitals and healthcare accounts
• Manage spare parts inventory and ensure service kits remain properly stocked
• Document service activities, repairs, and preventive maintenance in Salesforce and company systems
• Identify recurring equipment issues and recommend long-term solutions
• Maintain accurate technical documentation and service records
• Follow company safety protocols and applicable healthcare compliance standards
• Travel throughout the assigned territory to support customer needs
What You'll Bring
• Experience servicing electronic or electro-mechanical equipment
• Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
• Experience diagnosing hardware, networking, software, and PC-based system issues
• Ability to independently diagnose and resolve complex technical problems in the field
• Excellent customer service, communication, and relationship-building skills
• Ability to work independently while effectively managing a field service territory
• Experience with Microsoft Office
• Ability to complete required technical training and maintain product certifications
• Willingness to travel throughout the assigned territory, including occasional overnight travel
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in a variety of customer environments
Preferred Qualifications
• Previous field service engineering experience
• Experience servicing medical, healthcare, imaging, or other complex technical equipment
• Salesforce or similar CRM experience
• Experience providing onsite technical support in customer-facing environments
• Networking and PC-based troubleshooting experience
