Job Description

This dual-faceted role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge environmental technology, splitting time between advanced in-house systems assembly and hands-on field servicing. You will play a vital role in ensuring peak performance of capital equipment across the automotive, aerospace, and chemical processing sectors. As a Field Service & Electrical / Mechanical Technician, you will leverage your expertise in industrial automation and mechanical systems to ensure high-quality production and field execution. Key duties include:

  • Assemble, layout, and wire control panels in accordance with UL 508A standards and NEC code compliance.
  • Install conduit (EMT, IMC, and Rigid), process piping, and precision instrumentation tubing for air and gas systems.
  • Perform predictive and preventive maintenance, including Vibration Analysis, laser alignment, and thermal imaging on industrial fans and motors.
  • Commission, troubleshoot, and service Regenerative Thermal Oxidizers (RTOs), industrial dryers, and auxiliary combustion equipment.
  • Program, load, and configure automation devices, including PLC programming, HMI interfaces, and VFD setup.
  • Manage on-site installations, supervise subcontractors, and diagnose complex electrical, mechanical, and process system errors.
  • Draft precise customer engineering reports, manage bills of materials (BOMs), and deliver technical phone support for the 24-hour service hotline.

Requirements Technical Background: Proven industrial electro mechanical experience; open to all motivated individuals with strong trade skills, specifically electrical conduit routing. Software & Tools: Familiarity with PLC programming tools, HMI development software, and VFD configuration drives. Experience & Standards: Experience working with industrial combustion systems, burners, or thermal oxidizers preferred; deep understanding of NFPA and NEC codes is highly desirable. Credentials: Valid Driver's License is required; OSHA 10/30 Certification is a plus. Physical & Travel Capabilities: Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (Canada/Mexico); ability to lift up to 50–75 lbs with assistance and work comfortably in heavy steel fabrication environments. Safety Mindset: High-risk awareness with strict adherence to mandatory PPE protocols, including steel-toe boots, safety glasses, and hard hats.
