Field Service Diesel Technician

Field Diesel TechnicianTranSource Truck & Equipment, Inc. is a growing company representing Mack Trucks, Volvo Trucks and Volvo Construction Equipment, along with being the Servicing Dealer for multiple other product lines that support the On Highway, Construction and Agriculture Industry. Due to growth, we are currently looking to hire a Field Diesel Technician in the Belgrade area.

A Diesel Field Technician must be able to:Repair, overhaul, and perform routine maintenance on diesel Trucks and Equipment according to factory specificationsDiagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutionsProvide service and customer support in the field or shopInspect and repair engines, drivetrain, hydraulic, fuel, air, electrical, HVAC, brakes and suspension (actual job assignments based on abilities)New vehicle inspection and final assembly including factory warranty repairs and computer diagnostics and programmingMove customer trucks and equipment in and out of work bays, drive customer vehicles as needed for test drives (employees with CDL)Follows all safety regulations and policies. Works safely. Must be able to work alone out in the fieldPerforms work as outlined on repair orders efficiently and accurately in accordance with dealership, factory, and customer standardsUtilize testing equipment, precision instruments and gauges, hand tools, portable power tools, cranes, and hoists as neededComplete job reports and storiesWork independentlyQualifications:2-year technical degree and/or several years of comparable shop experienceProven field service experienceKnowledge of hydraulics, transmissions, undercarriage, track systems and components, pneumatic, electrical and fuel systemsPrevious experience working on Volvo equipment is a plusExcellent diagnostic and trouble-shooting skillsAble to work well under pressureAbility to troubleshoot test, repair and service technical equipmentAbility to travel and work according to a changing schedulePositive attitudeDesire to provide outstanding and professional customer serviceComputer, written and verbal communication skillsClean driving recordWhat we offer:Competitive Pay based on Prior Experience and Demonstrable Knowledge.
