Athletic Coach: Field Maintenance (Part-Time)
Reports to: Athletic director, who provides overall objectives and final evaluation in conjunction with the school principal.
General Description: Performs grounds maintenance work involving caring for and maintaining the appearance of stadium grounds and athletic fields.
Examples of Work Performed:
- Mows and trims grass.
- Prepares ground for athletic events.
- Operates powered equipment such as mowers, backpack blowers, trimmers, and edgers.
- Removes dirt, rubbish, and refuse from grounds.
- Cleans groundskeeping tools, equipment, and supplies.
- Performs related work as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Skill in using groundskeeping hand tools and equipment, in the operation of motorized and gas-powered equipment. Ability to maintain and care for hand and power tools and equipment.
Qualifications:
- Has the ability to maintain athletic facilities and grounds.
- Has previous successful experience and understanding how to use lawn equipment.
- Must have substantial knowledge of the equipment and safety requirements to operate.
- The position includes other unusual aspects such as extended time, risk injury factor, and due process predicaments.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain outside athletic facilities and grounds.
- Mowing athletics fields and stadium grounds.
- Weed eating athletic fields and stadium grounds.
