This is essentially an Electronics Assembly & Repair Technician role focused on building, troubleshooting, and repairing custom security technology hardware in a lab environment. The position is based in Chesterfield, MO and works closely with engineers who provide remote guidance throughout the process.
What they're really looking for:
Someone who is comfortable working with electronics hardware
Experience handling circuit boards (PCBs), wiring, connectors, and low-voltage systems
Ability to follow technical instructions and wiring diagrams
Strong troubleshooting and repair skills
Experience with Raspberry Pi devices is a big plus
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Build electronic devices from kits using wiring diagrams
Assemble and wire circuit boards, sensors, and components
Repair and troubleshoot hardware issues
Replace Raspberry Pi boards and SD cards
Create cable harnesses and crimp connectors
Wire power systems (5V/12V)
Test sensors and identify faulty components
Document work completed and communicate with engineers about issues found

Required Skills & Experience
- Hands-on experience with low-voltage electronics - PCBs, connectors, wiring
- Experience with crimp connectors, cable harness assembly, and multi-board interconnects
- Experience working with Raspberry Pi units (handling, setup, board replacement, SD cards)
- Understanding of electrical safety when working with power components
- Ability to follow detailed remote technical instructions and read wiring diagrams/document work
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- CCTV / physical security systems experience
- Experience with IP networking fundamentals
