Fiber Optic Technician
About the Opportunity: We are actively hiring Fiber Optic Technicians for a large-scale data center project in the Port Washington WI area. Key Responsibilities:
- Install, route, and secure fiber optic and low-voltage cabling
- Perform fiber terminations (LC, SC, MPO preferred)
- Assist with fiber testing (OTDR, power meter a plus)
- Install cable trays, pathways, and supports
- Read and interpret blueprints and layout drawings
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized job sites
- Work alongside project teams to meet deadlines and quality standards
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in fiber optics, low voltage, or structured cabling
- Experience in data centers or commercial construction preferred
- Ability to read prints and follow install standards
- Familiarity with fiber termination and testing is a plus
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to work overtime and travel if needed
- Must be able to pass pre-employment screening
Preferred (Not Required): Data center experience Fiber splicing or testing experience BICSI or similar certifications
Benefits:
