Application DeveloperConnected Logistics is seeking an Application Developer to add to our Information Technology Support Services team in support of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) at the National Emergency Training Center (NETC) in Emmitsburg, Maryland.
Responsibilities Include:Design and develop high-quality, scalable software applications using various programming languages and technologiesAnalyze user requirements and translate them into technical specificationsWrite clean, efficient, and well-documented codeCollaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and other developersPerform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team membersDebug and resolve software defectsMaintain and improve existing applicationsConduct thorough testing to ensure application performance and reliabilityImplement security best practices in application developmentStay updated with emerging technologies and industry trendsRequirements Knowledge and Skills Required:Public Trust or eligible. Must be able to write SQL Server, HTML, CSS, JavaScript (including jQuery, jQuery plug-ins, and various other 3rd party JavaScript libraries)Must be capable of writing client and web-based applications using Classic ASP, ASP.NET, Visual Basic .NET, C#, and Microsoft Access.Experience using Microsoft Visual Studio and SQL Server Management Studio.Skill in working independently, multitasking, prioritizing projects, and meeting deadlines.Skill in using analytical and research skills in the performance of job duties.Demonstrate high-end customer service skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills.Skill in establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships with others.Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language.Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.Self-motivated to learn, troubleshoot, and complete projects.
