Purpose Statement/Position Summary
The Research Post Doc Fellow, is in training to help develop the academic knowledge and research fundamentals, teaching expertise and administrative experience necessary to be an exemplary researcher. Perform laboratory work and conduct research activities independently or in collaboration with the Principal Investigator. Publish results in scientific manuscripts and research publications. Participate in seminars, meetings, trainings and other educational sessions.
Goran Lab at Children's Hospital Los Angeles
The Goran Lab at Children's Hospital Los Angeles conducts clinical and translational research focused on nutrition, obesity, diabetes, and related metabolic disorders in children and families. Our multidisciplinary team works on community- and hospital-based studies to better understand the role of diet, early life exposures, and lifestyle behaviors in long-term health outcomes.
Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience
Exposure to and/or experience in research in a healthcare environment preferred.
Education/Licensure/Certification
MD and/or PhD, or equivalent doctoral degree. Applicants must have completed their doctoral degree by their anticipated start date.
