Strategic Legal Practices Fee Motion AttorneyStrategic Legal Practices is seeking a full-time Fee Motion Attorney with demonstrated expertise in drafting, opposing, and arguing attorneys' fee motions in complex litigation. This attorney will play a central role in pursuing and defending the firm's rights to attorneys' fees in both state and federal courts.We're looking for a strategic, tenacious litigator with a strong command of California's fee-shifting statutes and federal lodestar principles. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, persuasive in writing and argument, and eager to leverage technology to enhance efficiency and accuracy.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Fee Motion-Specific ResponsibilitiesDrafting detailed and well-supported motions for attorneys' fees in both California state and federal courtsPreparing replies to oppositions with strong legal analysis and persuasive rebuttalsArguing fee motions at hearings, including presenting lodestar justifications and addressing court inquiriesApply statutory fee entitlement provisions, including requests for multipliers and enhancementsWorking with the fee motion support team to collect time records, declarations, and documentation in support of executing assigned motionsManaging and tracking a high-volume docket of deadlines and assignments within the fee motion departmentGeneral Litigation ResponsibilitiesDraft fee motions and fee motion replies to oppositionsAttend fee motion and general hearings in support of the firmArgue fee motions in courtIndependently manage your own litigation caseloadPerform other litigation-related duties and meet firm deadlines
