Job Title

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma. UTMB student enrolled at least half time.

Job Related Duties:

Student will perform basic office duties such as filing, scanning, copying, etc. and additional tasks/projects as needed.

Ask visitors to sign-in guest log

Assist visitors with logging in to the computer and navigating the HRC website and internet to locate materials for health and wellness and community supports

Assist with completing applications for social service/health needs.

Assist with updating and maintaining UTMB's Community Resource Directory

Assist visitors with using the printer/fax machine

Assist visitors with locating and viewing printed material.

Regulate time usage of computers if others are waiting.

Sort, print, file, and shelf materials as needed.

Complete printed resource material inventories and document in an Excel spreadsheet

Assist patients and visitors with accessing the Care Closet

Perform other duties as assigned, or as necessary, as relates to the center.

If they are unable to assist the visitor, take a detailed message for HRC Manager to get back with them

Requirements:

Ability to interact and work effectively with staff and with the public.

Computer skills and knowledge of internet research

Follow written and oral instructions.

Ability to read and update Excel worksheets

Prefer computer skills and knowledge of filing alphabetically/numerically.
