Farm Manager - Fruit Orchard

This role involves managing all aspects of fruit production, from planting and pruning to harvesting and post-harvest handling, ensuring high-quality yields and profitability. You will lead a team of farm workers, implement best practices in orchard management, and utilize modern farming techniques. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the fruit orchards, including planting, cultivation, irrigation, and pest/disease management.
• Plan and execute pruning, fruit thinning, and harvesting activities to maximize yield and quality.
• Manage and supervise farm staff, providing training, guidance, and performance evaluation.
• Implement and monitor sustainable farming practices, ensuring environmental compliance.
• Manage farm equipment and machinery, ensuring they are well-maintained and used efficiently.
• Maintain detailed records of crop production, expenses, and labour activities.

Requirements

• Degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in farm management, with a focus on fruit production.
• In-depth knowledge of orchard management techniques for various fruit types common in the region.
• Proven ability to lead and manage a diverse workforce effectively.
• Strong understanding of irrigation systems, soil health, and pest control strategies.
