Support Staff PositionProvide shelter coverage and to assist in the overall maintenance of structured shelter environment. As with all shelter staff, the support worker is responsible for developing trusting, supportive and respectful relationships with guests and maintaining a safe and secure environment. This position requires you to collaborate with team members throughout the shift in accordance with program guidelines.The support staff position is an excellent opportunity to enter the human service field and receive comprehensive training.Essential FunctionsAssist in orientation of new guests following the new arrival policy.Maintain a safe, clean, and secure environment for all shelter Monitor & participate in facility cleanliness, including office, staff bathroom, common area, kitchen, and grounds.
Restock supplies as needed.Communicate maintenance issues appropriately and according to established guidelines.Monitor assigned POD by performing frequent safety rounds.
