BHN is currently seeking a Family Partner to join our Community Service Agency (CSA) team to support parents and caregivers of youth with behavioral health needs.

What You Will Do

As a Family Partner, you'll use your lived experience as a parent or caregiver of a child with behavioral health needs to support other families in navigating systems and building resilience.

  • Provide peer support to parents and caregivers
  • Help families identify strengths and develop strategies to meet care plan goals
  • Educate families on navigating child-serving systems such as DCF, DMH, education, and behavioral health
  • Empower families by linking them to peer networks and support groups
  • Connect families with both formal and community-based resources
  • Foster a culturally responsive and inclusive environment
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation
  • Collaborate with care teams and attend family planning meetings
  • Actively engage in supervision and ongoing training

Who You Are

  • You have personal experience as a caregiver of a youth with special or behavioral health needs
  • You have a High School diploma/GED and at least 2 years of experience working with children/adolescents/transition-age youth
    • OR an Associate's Degree and 1 year of relevant experience
    • OR a Bachelor's Degree and 1 year of relevant experience
  • You are knowledgeable about navigating child and family-serving systems
  • You have strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
  • You are comfortable using electronic systems and documentation tools
  • You are culturally responsive and value diverse lived experiences
  • You have a valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
  • Bilingual- fluent in English and Spanish (Preferred)
