Job Summary

The Family Nurse Practitioner provides medical services to patients across life spans in collaboration with and under the supervision of an MD, within the parameters of the California Nurse Practitioner license. This includes the delivery of primary health care to infants, children, adults, and geriatric patients. The Nurse Practitioner is responsible for adhering to and following the standardized procedures and process protocols in adherence to the Nursing Practice Act in California and the California Code of Regulations, Title 16, Article 7, Sections and Title 22, Division 3, Section 51240 and 51241, to ensure the highest quality of patient care.

Qualifications

• Current valid California State Registered Nurse License or Physician Assistant License.
• Current valid California Nurse Practitioner License or Physician Assistant License.
• Must have completed in good standing an approved nurse practitioner program which meets the standards of the Board of Registered Nursing in California.
• Must have credentials which meet the regulations allowing a nurse practitioner to furnish medications and devices (e.g., full schedule DEA registration in California).
• Current BLS and ACLS certification.
