MainStreet Family Care is seeking a full‑time Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) in Dothan, Alabama. The role provides urgent care, primary care, telemedicine, and occupational medicine services in a high‑volume urgent care setting. New graduates are welcomed.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat cold, flu, strep, COVID, and other upper respiratory illnesses.
- Perform minor procedures such as toenail removal and foreign object removal.
- Conduct suturing and splinting.
- Provide general orthopedic evaluations and management.
- Review x‑rays (to be over‑read by a radiologist).
- Offer general dermatology care.
- Address general eye problems.
- Interpret general EKGs.
- Execute emergency management skills.
- Provide general gynecologic expertise.
- Treat children of all ages.
- Conduct occupational medicine examinations.
- Provide telemedicine services.
Schedule
- Clinic Hours: Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
- Rotating schedule: 7 days on and 7 days off (weekends included).
Qualifications
- Family Nurse Practitioner Board Certification required.
- MSN or higher education required (new graduates welcome).
- DOT certification required or willingness to become certified (cost covered).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with EMR systems and Microsoft Office suite preferred.
