Family Medicine Physician

An exciting opportunity is available for a Board Eligible or Board Certified Family Medicine Physician to join a newly established rural family medicine residency program as a Core Faculty Physician in Winsted, CT. This full-time position combines outpatient clinical practice with teaching, mentoring, and academic leadership. The role offers the chance to help train the next generation of family medicine physicians while providing comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages.

• 100% outpatient, office-based primary care
• Care for patients from birth through adulthood (no obstetrics)

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care
• Precept residents
• Teach
• Perform administrative responsibilities
• Provide comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages

Compensation

• Competitive guaranteed base salary

Shift & Schedule

• Full-time, weekday schedule
• Minimal phone-only call
• One weekday call approximately every 6 weeks
• Approximately two weekend call rotations per year

Requirements

• BE or BC in Family Medicine
• MD or DO
• Eligible for Connecticut medical licensure
• Interest in resident education, mentoring, and academic medicine
• Strong commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care
