Sanford Health is seeking a BC/BE Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Med/Peds physician to join their robust primary care practice at Marshfield Medical Center - Minocqua in the beautiful Northwoods of Wisconsin. This 100% outpatient role offers flexible scheduling, including a potential 4-day work week, and the opportunity to collaborate with a collegial group of providers. The position is at a National Health Service Corps (NHSC) approved site, providing an excellent work-life balance.

Practice Info

  • 100% outpatient practice
  • Collegial group of providers consisting of new and experienced physicians and APCs
  • Work in collaboration with multiple specialists located on-site
  • Nurse line is 1st call and call is 1:5 (phone call only)
  • National Health Service Corps (NHSC) approved site

Responsibilities

  • Perform history and physical examination
  • Admit (if applicable to the setting)
  • Evaluate, diagnose, treat and provide consultation to patients of all ages with a wide variety of illness, diseases, injuries, mental health conditions and functional disorders
  • Provide pre-operative care of surgical patients and post-operative medical care of surgical patients
  • Address return to work issues
  • Be involved in cutting-edge research
  • Teach medical students rotating throughout the system

Requirements

  • M.D. or D.O. degree
  • Successful completion of a Family Medicine residency program accredited by the ACGME, the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada
  • Certification in the primary area of practice by the appropriate specialty/subspecialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) or the American Osteopathic Association (AOA), as applicable
  • If not board certified at the time of application but completed residency within the last five years, must achieve board certification within five years from the date of completion of residency training
