Jackson and Coker is seeking a Family Medicine Physician for a locums opportunity in Texas. This role involves managing a caseload of 35-45 individuals, focusing on acute illness, injury, and follow-up care. The position offers a chance to work with an interdisciplinary team and conduct medical assessments.
Practice Info
- Caseload of around 35-45 people
- See no more than 10 patients a day for acute illness, injury or follow up
- Day is spent with clinics, interdisciplinary team meetings
- Annual and interval medical assessments
- 16 bed Infirmary for acute and chronic care
Responsibilities
- Perform infirmary rounds when on call for the weekend/holiday
- Evaluate any acute illness or injuries among residents when on call

Shift & Schedule
- Hours are 8:00AM-5:00PM, Monday-Friday
- Every 6th weekday on call (5:00 PM-8:00 AM)
- On call one weekend/ every 6 weeks
- About 95% of call will be covered by phone, and rarely requires a return to campus
Requirements
- Must have an absolutely clean record - no history of sanctions by the Board
- Must have current Texas license
- Must have current DEA
- Must have current NPI
- Must have current CPR/BLS
- Preferred: Experience in treating those with Intellectual and Developmental disabilities
