- Practice with a large service area in Central South Dakota, covering a radius of 30 miles across three counties with a 10,000 service population.

Responsibilities
- Perform history and physical examination.
- Admit, evaluate, diagnose, treat, and provide consultation to patients of all ages with a wide variety of illness, diseases, injuries, mental health conditions, and functional disorders of circulatory, respiratory, endocrine, metabolic, musculoskeletal, hematopoietic, gastroenteric, integumentary, nervous, female reproductive, and genitourinary systems.
- Provide pre-operative care of surgical patients.
- Provide post-operative medical care of surgical patients.
- Address return to work issues.

Requirements
- M.D. or D.O. degree.
- Successful completion of a Family Medicine residency program accredited by the ACGME, the American Osteopathic Association (AOA), or the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada.
- Certification in the primary area of practice by the appropriate specialty/subspecialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) or the American Osteopathic Association (AOA), as applicable.
- If not board certified at the time of application but completed residency training within the last five years, must achieve board certification within five years from the date of completion of residency training.
- Demonstrate active involvement in the clinical aspects of Family Medicine by providing a case log that includes 25 vaginal deliveries, 50 adult medical patients, and 10 inpatient care of children under the age of 18 (excluding normal newborn), as applicable to privileges being requested, in the last 12 months.
- If just completed residency, provide residency procedure log and a list of completed rotations.
- If not applying directly out of residency, provide a quality profile from hospital(s) where currently has privileges showing clinical activity for the last 12 months, including numbers of procedures performed, morbidity, mortality, infection rates, and other complications.
