- Sanford Watertown Clinic is a busy primary care practice.
- Shared call with pediatricians, which includes newborns, C-sections, and pediatric admits.
- Adult call is 'phone call' only, supported by a hospitalist program at the medical center for inpatient care.
- RN Care Managers and an Integrated Health Therapist are on site for continuous patient education and follow-up.
- Full clinic services include a full lab, x-ray department, ultrasound, 3D mammography, and physical therapy.
- Outreach available for cardiology, nephrology, pulmonology, and some pediatric subspecialties.
Responsibilities
- Perform history and physical examination.
- Admit patients (if applicable to the setting).
- Evaluate, diagnose, treat, and provide consultation to patients of all ages with a wide variety of illnesses, diseases, injuries, mental health conditions, and functional disorders.
- Provide pre-operative care of surgical patients.
- Provide post-operative medical care of surgical patients.
- Address return to work issues.

Shift & Schedule
- Shared call with pediatricians, which includes newborns, C-sections, and pediatric admits.

Requirements
- M.D. or D.O. degree.
- Successful completion of a Family Medicine residency program accredited by the ACGME, the American Osteopathic Association (AOA), or the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada.
- Certification in the primary area of practice by the appropriate specialty/subspecialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) or the American Osteopathic Association (AOA), as applicable.
- If not board certified at the time of application but completed residency within the last five years, must achieve board certification within five years from the date of completion of residency training.
- Ability to demonstrate active involvement in the clinical aspects of Family Medicine by providing a case log that includes 25 vaginal deliveries, 50 adult medical patients, and 10 inpatient care of children under the age of 18 (excluding normal newborn), as applicable to privileges being requested, in the last 12 months.
