Tenet Healthcare, in collaboration with Detroit Medical Center, is seeking a board-certified Family Medicine Physician to join their residency program at DMC Sinai-Grace Hospital in Detroit, MI. This full-time Core Faculty position involves providing resident education, maintaining a personal clinical practice, and participating in academic activities. Responsibilities
- Precepting and clinical supervision of residents
- Maintaining personal clinical practice/patient panel
- Participating in didactics, lectures, and curriculum development
- Performing administrative responsibilities
- Participating in supervisory and teaching responsibilities for residents in an outpatient setting
- Serving as an advisor and role model for Family Medicine residents
- Participating in recruiting new residents into the program
- Maintaining scholarly activity in accordance with ACGME requirements

Shift & Schedule
- M-F Schedule 8AM to 5PM
- No weekend requirements
- Practice Call is shared
- 1 Day per week for resident precepting, clinical supervision
- 1 Day per week maintaining personal clinical practice/patient panel
- .5 Day per week for didactics, lectures, curriculum development
- 2.5 Days per week admin responsibilities
Requirements
- MD/DO degree
- DEA certificate
- Board certification with the American Board of Family Medicine
- Maintain CME
- Licensed in Michigan or eligible to obtain licensure in the State of Michigan
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or obtain it within 3 months of hire
- Knowledge of the principles and practice of preventive medicine
- Knowledge of state and federal laws pertaining to medicine and to community health centers
- 3-5 years of clinical experience in Family Medicine
- Experience with outpatient medical faculty preferred
