Sanford Health, the largest rural health system in the United States, is seeking a BE/BC Family Medicine Physician to join their growing practice in Perham, Minnesota. This opportunity offers a chance to provide world-class healthcare in America's heartland, serving a community of approximately 15,000 patients. The role involves comprehensive family medicine care for patients of all ages within a multispecialty group practice.

• Multispecialty group practice including Family Medicine, Surgery, Psychiatry, and Psychology
• Service region of approximately 15,000 patients
• Outreach specialties include Urology, Dermatology, Podiatry, Cardiology, Oncology, and Nephrology
• Clinic and Hospital are 136,000 square feet, attached to a 25-bed critical access hospital
• 52 clinical exam rooms all under one roof
• 24/7 staffed emergency room

Responsibilities

• Perform history and physical examination
• Admit (if applicable to the setting)
• Evaluate, diagnose, treat and provide consultation to patients of all ages with a wide variety of illness, diseases, injuries, mental health conditions and functional disorders
• Provide pre-operative care of surgical patients
• Provide post-operative medical care of surgical patients
• Address return to work issues

Compensation

• Nationally competitive compensation plan
• Compensation floor of $330,000 for the first two years of the employment contract, plus estimated potential to exceed compensation floor from personally performed wRVUs
• $100,000 retention incentive to be paid if you remain a 1.0 FTE for 3 years

Requirements

• BE/BC in Family Medicine
• M.D. or D.O. degree
• Successful completion of a Family Medicine residency program accredited by the ACGME, the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada
• Certification in the primary area of practice by the appropriate specialty/subspecialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) or the American Osteopathic Association (AOA), as applicable
• If not board certified at the time of application but completed residency within the last five years, must achieve board certification within five years from the date of completion of residency training
• Demonstrate active involvement in the clinical aspects of Family Medicine by providing a case log that includes 25 vaginal deliveries, 50 adult medical patients, and 10 inpatient care of children under the age of 18 (excluding normal newborn), as applicable to privileges being requested, in the last 12 months
