Sanford Health, one of the largest and fastest-growing not-for-profit health systems in the US, is seeking a BC/BE Family Medicine physician to join their team in Perham or New York Mills, Minnesota. - Practice in Perham or New York Mills, Minnesota.
- Perham Health includes a 25-bed critical access hospital, a 98-bed skilled nursing and assisted living facility, and four clinics.
- Practitioners enjoy a shared practice concept.
- Clinic hours are 8:00 AM-5:00 PM, Monday-Friday, in addition to a Saturday morning clinic.
- Night time ER coverage is provided by a full-time physician.
Responsibilities
- Perform history and physical examination.
- Admit (if applicable to the setting), evaluate, diagnose, treat and provide consultation to patients of all ages with a wide variety of illness, diseases, injuries, mental health conditions and functional disorders.
- Provide pre-operative care of surgical patients.
- Provide post-operative medical care of surgical patients.
- Address return to work issues.

Shift & Schedule
- 1:7 night call (mostly via phone).
- 1:7 weekend call (includes Saturday clinic & weekend rounds) at Perham Health Hospital.
- Clinic hours are 8:00 AM-5:00 PM, Monday-Friday, in addition to a Saturday morning clinic.
Requirements
- M.D. or D.O. degree.
- Successful completion of a Family Medicine residency program accredited by the ACGME, the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada.
- Certification in the primary area of practice by the appropriate specialty/subspecialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), the American Osteopathic Association (AOA), as applicable.
- If not board certified at the time of application but completed residency training within the last five years, must achieve board certification within five years from the date of completion of residency training.
- Ability to perform 25 vaginal deliveries, 50 adult medical patients, and 10 inpatient care of children under the age of 18 (excluding normal newborn) in the last 12 months, as applicable to privileges being requested.
