Sanford Health is seeking a BC/BE Family Medicine physician to join their well-established rural health center in Park Falls, Wisconsin. This role offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive outpatient and inpatient care within a collegial group. The position emphasizes work-life balance and involvement in medical education and research.

Practice Info

  • Join a collegial group of 2 other physicians and 4 APCs
  • Work closely with all departments and a well-supportive care team, including RNs who are wound care trained
  • Multiple specialty providers frequently rotate onsite
  • Clinic, dental center, and critical access hospital (10 beds) are located on the same campus
  • National Health Service Corps (NHSC) approved site

Responsibilities

  • Provide both outpatient and inpatient care
  • Perform history and physical examination
  • Admit patients (if applicable to the setting)
  • Evaluate, diagnose, treat and provide consultation to patients of all ages with a wide variety of illness, diseases, injuries, mental health conditions and functional disorders
  • Provide pre-operative care of surgical patients and post-operative medical care of surgical patients
  • Address return to work issues

Shift & Schedule

  • Call is a 1:3 rotation for the hospital
  • Nurse line is 1st call for outpatient (Phone call only)
  • 4-day work week flexibility

Requirements

  • M.D. or D.O. degree
  • BC/BE in Family Medicine
  • Successful completion of a Family Medicine residency program accredited by the ACGME, the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada
  • Certification in the primary area of practice by the appropriate specialty/subspecialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) or the American Osteopathic Association (AOA)
