Primary Care Family Medicine Academic Physician

Northwell is seeking a board-certified Family Medicine Physician to join their busy and growing practice, affiliated with Northern Dutchess Hospital in Rhinebeck, New York. This role involves working with Family Medicine residents, focusing on supervision, education, mentorship, and evaluation, while also delivering comprehensive, team-based care to a diverse adult patient population. • Employed outpatient practices utilize a hospitalist program for in-patient admissions.

• Fully outpatient setting with a state-of-the-art, system-wide integrated electronic health record.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Program Director to develop and implement continuing medical education.
• Supervise, educate, mentor, and evaluate Family Medicine Residents.
• Deliver comprehensive, team-based care for a diverse adult patient population.
• Partner with skilled multidisciplinary staff to manage acute and chronic conditions.
• Promote wellness across an entire panel of patients.

Compensation

• Highly competitive base salary + incentive compensation.
• Potential hiring bonus and relocation stipend.
• Salary Range: $275,000 -$285,000 commensurate or relative to experience.

Shift & Schedule

• Minimal on-call obligations.
• A light call schedule supported by nurse triage.
• Off-hour coverage - Shared among multiple providers, phone-calls only, with nurse triage.

Requirements

• MD or DO with NY State License and Federal DEA.
• Successfully completed Family Medicine and be Board Certified.
