Sanford Health is seeking Board Certified/Board Eligible Family Medicine physicians to join their team in Fargo, North Dakota, and Moorhead, Minnesota. This opportunity includes clinic-based family medicine positions and core faculty roles for their expanding residency program. Physicians will have the chance to teach UND medical students and Sanford Family Medicine residents within a state-of-the-art medical center.

Responsibilities

  • Perform history and physical examination
  • Admit (if applicable to the setting)
  • Evaluate, diagnose, treat and provide consultation to patients of all ages with a wide variety of illness, diseases, injuries, mental health conditions and functional disorders of circulatory, respiratory, endocrine, metabolic, musculoskeletal, hematopoietic, gastroenteric, integumentary, nervous, female reproductive, and genitourinary systems
  • Provide pre-operative care of surgical patients
  • Provide post-operative medical care of surgical patients
  • Address return to work issues

Compensation

  • Annual compensation floor range (based on 1.0 FTE): $282,584 - $365,697 plus estimated potential to exceed compensation floor from personally performed wRVUs
  • Additional incentives may be offered
  • Actual compensation offers may vary and are determined based on multiple factors including education, training, certification, experience, scope of practice and actual job requirements

Requirements

  • M.D. or D.O. degree
  • Experience demonstrated by residency procedure log and a list of completed rotations (for recent residency graduates) OR a quality profile from hospital(s) showing clinical activity for the last 12 months (for applicants not directly out of residency)
  • Ability to demonstrate active involvement in the clinical aspects of Family Medicine by providing a case log that includes 25 vaginal deliveries, 50 adult medical patients, and 10 inpatient care of children under the age of 18 (excluding normal newborn), as applicable to privileges being requested, in the last 12 months
  • Successful completion of a Family Medicine residency program accredited by the ACGME, the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada
  • Certification in the primary area of practice by the appropriate specialty/subspecialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), the American Osteopathic Association (AOA), as applicable
  • If not board certified at the time of application but completed residency training within the last five years, must achieve board certification within five years from the date of completion of residency training unless waived by the appropriate governing Board
