Sanford Health, one of the largest and fastest-growing not-for-profit health systems in the US, is seeking a BE/BC Family Medicine Physician to join their team in Bemidji, MN. This role offers flexible practice options including outpatient only, traditional, OB, or addiction medicine, alongside a flexible schedule to promote work/life balance. The physician will be part of a department consisting of seven physicians and three advanced practice providers, contributing to a multi-specialty clinic and an 118-bed hospital.

  • Multi-specialty clinic.
  • 118 bed hospital, 14 bed ICU.
  • Level III trauma center with ER volumes of 27,000 annually.

Responsibilities

  • Perform history and physical examination.
  • Admit (if applicable to the setting), evaluate, diagnose, treat and provide consultation to patients of all ages with a wide variety of illness, diseases, injuries, mental health conditions and functional disorders of circulatory, respiratory, endocrine, metabolic, musculoskeletal, hematopoietic, gastroenteric, integumentary, nervous, female reproductive, and genitourinary systems.
  • Provide pre-operative care of surgical patients.
  • Provide post-operative medical care of surgical patients.
  • Address return to work issues.

Compensation

  • Nationally competitive compensation plan.
  • Annual compensation floor range (based on 1.0 FTE): $265,175 - $343,168 plus estimated potential to exceed compensation floor from personally performed wRVUs.

Requirements

  • BE/BC in Family Medicine.
  • M.D. or D.O. degree.
  • Successful completion of a Family Medicine residency program accredited by the ACGME, the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada.
  • Certification in the primary area of practice by the appropriate specialty/subspecialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), the American Osteopathic Association (AOA), as applicable.
  • If not board certified at the time of application but completed residency training within the last five years, must achieve board certification within five years from the date of completion of residency training.
  • Experience can be demonstrated by providing residency procedure log and a list of completed rotations (for recent graduates).
  • Experience can be demonstrated by providing a quality profile from hospital(s) where privileges are held, showing clinical activity for the last 12 months (for applicants not directly out of residency).
  • Must be able to demonstrate active involvement in the clinical aspects of Family Medicine by providing case log that includes 25 vaginal deliveries, 50 adult medical patients, and 10 inpatient care of children under the age of 18 (excluding normal newborn), as applicable to privileges being requested, in the last 12 months.
