Sanford Health is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Family Medicine physician to join a fast-growing multispecialty group practice in Detroit Lakes, MN. Practice Info

  • Multispecialty group practice including FM, IM, Dermatology, Audiology, Orthopedics, Ob/Gyn, Surgery, Podiatry, Optometry, Psychology, Psychiatry and Physical/Occupational/Speech Therapy
  • Service region of 55,000
  • Outreach specialties include: Allergy, Cardiology, Medical Oncology, Nephrology, Neurosurgery, Opthalmology, Pain Management, and Urology
  • On-site pharmacy, walk-in clinic, lab, imaging and ambulatory surgical center

Responsibilities

  • Perform history and physical examination
  • Admit, evaluate, diagnose, treat and provide consultation to patients of all ages with a wide variety of illness, diseases, injuries, mental health conditions and functional disorders
  • Provide pre-operative care of surgical patients and post-operative medical care of surgical patients
  • Cover 1:6 call shared with IM, with FM covering pediatrics call
  • Cover monthly nursing home/TCU rounds at local long term care facility

Compensation

  • Nationally competitive compensation plan
  • Annual compensation floor range (based on 1.0 FTE): $265,175 - $343,168 plus estimated potential to exceed compensation floor from personally performed wRVUs

Shift & Schedule

  • Call is 1:6 shared with IM, but FM covers pediatrics call
  • Also covering monthly nursing home/TCU rounds at local long term care facility

Requirements

  • M.D. or D.O. degree
  • Successful completion of a Family Medicine residency program accredited by the ACGME, the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada
  • Certification in the primary area of practice by the appropriate specialty/subspecialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) or the American Osteopathic Association (AOA), as applicable
  • If not board certified at the time of application but completed residency within the last five years, must achieve board certification within five years from the date of completion of residency training
  • Experience can be demonstrated by providing residency procedure log and a list of completed rotations (for recent graduates) OR a quality profile from hospital(s) showing clinical activity for the last 12 months (for experienced applicants)
  • Ability to demonstrate active involvement in the clinical aspects of Family Medicine by providing a case log that includes 25 vaginal deliveries, 50 adult medical patients, and 10 inpatient care of children under the age of 18 (excluding normal newborn), as applicable to privileges being requested, in the last 12 months
