Sanford Health is seeking a Family Medicine physician to join their team in Walker, MN. This role involves providing comprehensive medical care to patients of all ages in a clinic setting, working alongside advanced practice providers. The position offers an opportunity to practice in a supportive environment within a large and growing health system.
Practice Info
- Join three advanced practice providers who practice independently
- Lab and Xray on site
- Behavioral Health - IHT on site
- Outreach from Bemidji including Cardiology, IM, Nephrology, OB, Ortho, Podiatry, Psych - NP
Responsibilities
- Perform history and physical examination
- Admit (if applicable to the setting), evaluate, diagnose, treat and provide consultation to patients of all ages with a wide variety of illness, diseases, injuries, mental health conditions and functional disorders of circulatory, respiratory, endocrine, metabolic, musculoskeletal, hematopoietic, gastroenteric, integumentary, nervous, female reproductive, and genitourinary systems
- Provide pre-operative care of surgical patients
- Provide post-operative medical care of surgical patients
- Address return to work issues
- Cover walk-in - 12 days (split between 4 providers)
Compensation
- Nationally competitive compensation plan
- Annual compensation floor range (based on 1.0 FTE): $265,175 - $343,168
- Estimated potential to exceed compensation floor from personally performed wRVUs
- Additional incentives may be offered

Requirements
- M.D. or D.O. degree
- Successful completion of a Family Medicine residency program accredited by the ACGME, the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada
- Certification in the primary area of practice by the appropriate specialty/subspecialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), the American Osteopathic Association (AOA), as applicable
- If not board certified at the time of application but completed residency training within the last five years, must achieve board certification within five years from the date of completion of residency training
- Experience can be demonstrated by providing residency procedure log and a list of completed rotations (for new residents) OR a quality profile from hospital(s) showing clinical activity for the last 12 months (for those not applying directly out of residency)
- Must be able to demonstrate active involvement in the clinical aspects of Family Medicine by providing case log that includes 25 vaginal deliveries, 50 adult medical patients, and 10 inpatient care of children under the age of 18 (excluding normal newborn), as applicable to privileges being requested, in the last 12 months
