  • Work collaboratively with one Family Medicine provider

Responsibilities

  • Perform history and physical examination
  • Admit (if applicable to the setting)
  • Evaluate, diagnose, treat and provide consultation to patients of all ages with a wide variety of illness, diseases, injuries, mental health conditions and functional disorders
  • Provide pre-operative care of surgical patients
  • Provide post-operative medical care of surgical patients
  • Address return to work issues

Requirements

  • M.D. or D.O. degree
  • Successful completion of a Family Medicine residency program accredited by the ACGME, the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada
  • Certification in the primary area of practice by the appropriate specialty/subspecialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), the American Osteopathic Association (AOA), as applicable
  • If not board certified at the time of application but completed residency training within the last five years, must achieve board certification within five years from the date of completion of residency training
