Role: Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner

Overview:

This contract role offers an opportunity to work as a Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner in Reno, NV, providing care during weekday shifts with a consistent schedule.

Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive health histories and physical examinations .
• Diagnose and treat common acute and chronic illnesses.
• Develop individualized treatment and care plans .
• Prescribe medications and manage medication therapy within state scope of practice.
• Order and interpret laboratory tests, diagnostic imaging, and other clinical studies .
• Manage chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, asthma, COPD, and hyperlipidemia.
• Provide preventive care , including physical examinations, health screenings, and immunizations.
• Provide women's, men's, adolescent, and geriatric primary care.
• Evaluate and treat minor injuries, infections, respiratory illnesses, and other common conditions.
• Provide patient education regarding nutrition, exercise, medications, lifestyle changes, and disease prevention.
• Perform or assist with appropriate office-based procedures.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans when necessary.
• Coordinate referrals to specialists and other healthcare professionals.
• Review and communicate diagnostic results with patients.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR/EHR) .

Schedule and Shift Details:

Work schedule is Tuesday through Thursday from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Friday from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
