Our growing law firm is looking to hire a family attorney who is fiercely passionate about representing clients facing one of the most challenging times in their lives. Candidates should be adept at preparing necessary legal documents in connection with prenuptial agreements, initiating and finalizing divorces, alimony, child support/child custody, and real estate. Experience in handling legal issues such as child abuse, child custody, and domestic violence is also a must. If you have a proven record of success both in and out of court, apply now! Responsibilities: • Keep client files properly organized and up to date • Handle the division of marital assets, including real estate, during divorce proceedings as needed • Ensure clients are effectively represented at court hearings as needed • Assist clients effectively by understanding their needs analyzing the situation then strategizing and deciding on a proper course of action • Collaborate with senior partners and paralegals to effectively move files through the civil litigation process • Supervising case teams • Handling firm-critical cases • Assisting with practice growth • Training/developing litigators. • Handle sophisticated litigation matters from inception through trial • Help oversee case strategy across the firm • Assist in developing litigation systems and standards • Work closely with firm leadership on practice growth and case management • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients facing some of the most difficult moments of their lives Qualifications: • At least 1-2 years of working in a law firm on family law issues as well as real estate (determining marital property) is necessary • Previous criminal justice or other legal background preferred • Ability to successfully represent both plaintiff and defendant sides of a case • Candidates should be great negotiators and communicators, specifically in situations when emotions and stress are high • Active member of the ABA (American Bar Association) • Board Certified Specialist in Family Law • 10-15+ years of substantial family law litigation experience • Significant first-chair trial experience • Demonstrated success in handling complex contested matters • Experience supervising or leading attorneys • Strong reputation for professionalism and ethics • Exceptional writing, advocacy, and analytical skills Compensation: $200,000+ depending on performance.
