Reference Design EngineerWe are seeking a creative, detail-oriented Reference Design Engineer to own the development and manage the entire lifecycle of our reference designs. In this role, you will apply your embedded systems expertise to create new reference designs, enhance existing concepts, and validate the technical accuracy of content prior to publication. You will assist with the creation, publishing, and maintaining clear, high-quality web content that effectively highlights the value of our reference design assets. This position requires close collaboration with engineering, marketing, product management, and other cross-functional teams to ensure all content is technically accurate, consistent, and aligned with customer and business objectives.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys combining hands-on engineering work with technical communication in a fast-paced environment.Responsibilities:Create, review or update schematics, PCB layouts, block diagrams and other technical documentation to support reference design web pagesDevelop or adapt embedded software for MCU/MPU based reference designsDevelop, publish, and maintain web content for reference designs to address emerging market segments such as Edge Computing/IoT, Data Centers, AI/ML, Sustainability, E-Mobility, and Networking/ConnectivityWork closely with engineering, marketing, and other cross-functional teams to gather technical information and translate it into clear, engaging web contentEnsure all web content is accurate, detailed, and meets quality standardsCreate Salesforce projects to easily track and link reference designs to customer opportunitiesManage multiple reference design projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environmentFoster a collaborative team environment by supporting colleagues, contributing to release process improvements, and working effectively with other regions and divisional applicationsTravel as needed for training or to support other regionsPerform additional job related responsibilities as directed by the manager.Requirements/Qualifications:BS or BSc in Electrical Engineering or equivalentMinimum of 5 years of design experience in microcontroller or microprocessor based embedded systemsMinimum of 5 years of design experience with 8 & 32-bit embedded C programmingProficient with schematic capture and PCB layout tools such as Altium Designer and Siemens XpeditionPractical experience using AI tools or AI-assisted engineering solutionsProficient in Microsoft Office tools including Outlook, Word, & SharePointExcellent verbal and written skills including ability to write and present clear and concise technical information in EnglishExcellent multi-tasking abilities and strong organizational skillsPossess an eager attitude toward learning new skills & technologyWork effectively in a team environment with a positive attitude and a willingness to support othersHigh attention to detail and a commitment to delivering quality work.Ability to establish trust and credibilityAbility to operate under minimal guidance and assume personal responsibility/accountabilityPreferred Skills:Experience with Adobe Experience Manager or equivalent web content management solutionsFamiliar with block diagram toolsFamiliar with Salesforce Lightning Service ConsoleTravel Time:0% - 25%Physical Attributes:Bending at Waist, Carrying, Crouching, Feeling, Handling, Hearing, Kneeling, Lifting, Other, Piece Work, Pulling, Pushing, Reaching, Seeing, Stooping, Talking, Works Alone, Works Around OthersPhysical Requirements:Working with standard office & computer equipment, Monday - Friday 8 hours/day, 100% inside, 80% Sitting, 15% standing, 5% walking.
