Facility Worker

Dakota State University is seeking applications for a full-time facility worker. Primary responsibilities include custodial care and minor maintenance at the Community Center. The position will be scheduled Monday through Friday from 10pm to 6:30am.

Responsibilities:

• Floor care will be daily vacuuming, scrubbing and mopping, occasional carpet shampooing and floor waxing.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms and locker rooms.
• Collect and remove trash from building.
• Dust and wash walls, woodwork, and windows (inside and out).
• Remove snow from steps and sidewalks near buildings.
• Moving furniture.

Successful candidate must be able to:

• Follow written and oral instructions.
• Stand for extended periods of time.
• Work with students, staff, and the public courteously.
• Work independently.
• Lift 50 pounds.
• Bend, stretch, climb ladders, twist and walk.

Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (Sponsorship is not available for this position.)
