Facility TechnicianThe Facility Technician is responsible for performing maintenance and repairs to buildings and common areas to ensure proper functioning of machinery, equipment, facilities and applicable systems, and to prevent breakdowns.Responsibilities:Work independently to complete general building maintenance, including maintaining flooring, lighting, plumbing, carpentry, locking and paintingSchedule preventative maintenance services, including HVAC, plumbing, alarming, roof, locking, landscaping, fire protection and lighting systemMonitor and evaluate building maintenance contract and service workWork collaboratively with other departments on cost reduction projectsParticipate in all safety related activities, including reinforcing and creating an environment that fosters and requires safe work practicesEnsure that all business activities are performed with the highest ethical standards and in compliance with the Canadian Solar Solution Code of Business ConductSupport ISO 9001 activitiesAdhere to all environmental, health and safety rules and policiesConduct other duties as requiredQualifications:3-5 years experience in general facilities maintenanceCompletion of a Building Maintenance Technology diploma/certificate, or comparable program preferredHVAC Certification preferredAble to work on 12 hour day or night shiftGood written and verbal communication skillsCompensation and Benefits:Canadian Solar offers a competitive salary plus fully comprehensive benefits and performance bonus package based on an annual objective achievement.
