This position is responsible for receiving and responding to service requests, monitoring building systems, and helping coordinate the right response to keep facilities running smoothly.This role is a blend of dispatch, customer service, and systems monitoring. The operator reviews incoming requests and alerts, determines priority, and communicates with technicians and internal teams to ensure timely resolution.This position does not have supervisory responsibilities but does require strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to stay organized in a fast-paced environment.Essential DutiesOperations and Systems SupportMonitor building systems, including fire and life safety systems, through computer-based platformsLearn and use facility management systems (training provided)Review system alerts (temperature, alarms, etc.) and determine if action is neededRespond to alarms, prioritize urgency, and escalate issues when appropriateDispatch & Customer ServiceReceive and triage service requests from customers and internal teamsAsk questions, gather details, and determine next stepsDispatch technicians or route requests to the appropriate teamProvide clear and timely updates to customers and internal stakeholdersCoordination & CommunicationServe as a central point of contact between technicians, leadership, and customersMaintain accurate notes and documentation in systemsEscalate issues or communication gaps to leadership when neededSupport shift coverage and ensure smooth handoffs between team membersCompliance, Safety & StandardsFollow all company and customer safety policies and proceduresParticipate in required safety trainings and meetingsReport any safety concerns or incidents promptlyMaintain a clean and organized work environmentTeam Support & DevelopmentWork closely with team members and leadership to solve problemsParticipate in training to build knowledge of systems and processesAsk questions and seek guidance when neededContribute to a positive and team-oriented work environmentGeneral RequirementsPerform work in alignment with customer expectations and company standardsCoordinate with internal teams and external partners as neededCommunicate clearly and provide timely, accurate updatesPerform other duties as assignedRequired Education and ExperienceHigh School Diploma or GED requiredAt least one (1) year of experience in customer service, dispatch, call center, or facilities-related workBasic understanding of building systems (HVAC, mechanical, plumbing) or willingness to learnStrong organizational skills and attention to detailComfortable using computer systems to track and document workAbility to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectivelyMust be able to pass a background check and drug screenValid driver's license and reliable transportation requiredPreferred Skills and ExperienceExperience with dispatching, scheduling, or service coordinationFamiliarity with maintenance or facilities environmentsExperience using work order or maintenance tracking systems (CMMS)Strong communication and interpersonal skillsPositive attitude and team-oriented approachReady to Join Our Team?If you enjoy helping people, staying organized, and being part of a team that keeps things running, we'd like to hear from you.
