Facility PainterLocation: Long Beach, CADuration: 6+ Month ContractPay Range: $30 -$35 per hour, W 2Summary:Work Mode: OnsiteResponsibilities:Develop and adhere to preventative maintenance schedules for assigned sitesWork independentlyAssemble scaffolding as requiredCover trim, floors, furniture, and other surfaces with protective coveringsSet up ventilators and safety equipment to protect from unhealthy fumesPrepare surfaces to be painted by washing, filling holes and cracks, and sandingApply primer and other sealers to ensure paint adhesionMix and match paint, stain, and other finishes to job specificationsApply paint, stain, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or sprayersMaintain an inventory of supplies like paint brushes, rollers, and tarpsRemove old finish using scrapers, chemical compounds, or blowtorchesEstimate time and material costs for painting projectsClean machines, equipment, and work areas using water, solvents, and cleaning aidsReview and implement work orders and assignmentsRemove and reinstall fixtures as necessaryFollow safeguards, rules, and regulationsAssist with smaller electrical and plumbing duties, as well as after-hour emergenciesRequirements:Minimum 5 years of experience in the painting/remodeling tradePreferred Skills:Experience in other trades is a plus
