Facility Operations SpecialistThis is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Acq Demo Business and Technical Management to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. This position is being filled under AcqDemo Direct Hiring Authority (DHA) for non-acquisition positions involving 51% or more of time in direct support of acquisition positions within Business and Technical Management Professional Career path. As a Facility Operations Specialist at the NH-1640-3 broadband level, some of your typical work assignments may include:Formulating internal facilities policies and procedures, managing daily operations, planning and directing the work of subordinate contractor personnel using available manpower, material, and budgetary resources.Reviewing and assessing program costs, schedule, and contract/vendor performance as well as approves modifications to work orders or statement of works.Serving as Contracting Officer's Representative (COR)/ACOR for maintenance support and facility contracts.Advising senior leadership on critical and highly visible field activity operation issues impacting local and enterprise-wide operations.
Technical support and representation can be via presentations, serving as adviser on conference panels, or meeting venues.Providing direct support to the Field Activity Manager and serving as adviser for all functions of the field activity, including facilities, logistics, customer support services (customer contact center, mailroom, housekeeping, recycling, transportation, supply chain management/supply store, and space management).
