If you thrive in a collaborative environment and are eager to make a difference, this is the perfect opportunity for you!This position requires indoor and outdoor work, under all types of weather conditions.Scheduled shifts include evenings and weekends; up to 24 hours per week.Position open until filled.Essential Position FunctionsResponsible for maintaining order in the Civic ArenaResponsible for prevention of damage to the building and equipment, such as light fixtures, doors, windows, vending machines, pay phonesResponsible for checking on the ice making machinery and taking log readings at the appropriate timesDrive the resurfacer during the scheduled ice making timesIn charge of cleanliness of the Civic Arena during assigned shift and at the end of nightAssist concession stand worker in any possible way such as getting supplies, extra change and repair of machineryProvide cleaning and building supplies request forms to supervisorPick up trash outside the building and groundsOther duties as assignedMinimum QualificationsMust be 18 years of age or olderValid driver's licenseThings That May Help You Be Successful In This RolePrevious experience and knowledge of mechanical equipment and repairsPrevious experience sharpening skatesTwo years' experience driving a resurfacerWorking conditions and expectations:While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to stand, talk, hear and writeSpecific vision abilities required include close vision, distant vision and peripheral visionFrequently lift and/or move up to 50 poundsThe employee may occasionally climb a ladder, operate a lift, and operate a vehicle with multiple hand and foot operationsMust have the ability to walk on the ice surfaceMust be able to perform all essential position functions under the working conditions as describedMust be self-motivated and a hard-working individualLocated in the Twin Cities metro area, Eagan is home to about 68,000 people.
