Facilities TechnicianGrace Fellowship Church is prayerfully searching for our next Facilities Technician ("Technician") to join our facilities team and help us care for our buildings and properties. The ideal candidate will be a Jesus follower with a passion for supporting the church's mission of sharing the gospel, as well as a proven track record of success in contributing to facilities functions.The Technician helps maintain the facilities and physical grounds of Grace Fellowship Church's campuses. This includes performing maintenance, repair, upkeep, and installation in the areas of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, construction, renovation, painting, general & preventative, fire & security, life safety, pest control, housekeeping, moving, work orders, signage, events & setups, and all other job activities (detailed in the addendum).The Technician works within the facilities team, under the leadership of the Facilities Director, providing subject matter expertise to collaboratively reach church goals and objectives. The Technician will interact with staff, church members, volunteers and vendors, with a constant focus on helping us create and maintain first-class campuses.

The position is 40 hours per week. These responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Electrical & LightingSurvey buildings and repair mechanical and minor electrical systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety standardsPerform maintenance of electrical systems including replacing light bulbs, ballasts, sockets, light switches, electrical outlets, tripped electrical breakers, etc.Perform maintenance of lighting systems including the replacement of light bulbs, ballasts, installation of new fixtures, the replacement of parking lot lights and wall packs with LED fixturesCheck electrical and control panels and electrical wiring to identify issues such as tripped breakers, etc.PlumbingMaintain plumbing systems to ensure proper functionality including repair and replacement of leaking faucets/drains, replacement of flush kits, clearing of drains, etc.Maintain the baptismal font including servicing and repairing of pumps, filters, valves, piping, and heater as needed, the cleaning of the font via netting and vacuuming, and the maintenance of the safety gratesHVACInspect, troubleshoot, and assist in the identification of issues and repairs when necessary, regarding equipment and systems for ventilation, refrigeration, heating and other HVAC systemsMaintain heating and cooling systems to ensure functionalityMake minor repairs to HVAC systems such as replacement of thermostats, resets of controllers, etc.Construction, Renovation and PaintingPerform renovations involving the construction or demolition of walls, tape and floating of walls, texturing of walls, painting of walls, doors and trim, installation of base molding, installation of doors, etc.Conduct painting of facilities as needed including patching drywall, sanding, re-texturing of walls, priming, and painting as necessaryCollaborate with workers and other professionals during renovationsGeneral MaintenancePerform manual repairs as necessary such as replacing hinges, fixing/replacing locks, replacing rollers/wheels on carts, replacing windows, repairing/replacing window shades, etc.Assemble furniture and accessories as requestedPerform minor fixes such as repairing and replacing broken locks, hinges, door stops, filling cracks/gaps on walls, etc.Adjust and replace door closers, as neededPerform flooring maintenance and minor repairs such as the replacement of VCT tiles, carpet tiles, threshold/transition pieces securing/replacement, etc.Preventive MaintenancePerform prescribed periodic maintenance on golf carts such as inspection/replacement of batteries and electrical systems, washing, greasing, etc.Perform prescribed periodic maintenance of scissor lift such as inspection/replacement of batteries, inspection/repair of wiring, inspection/repair of hydraulics, mechanical linkage, etc.Test emergency/back-up batteries on prescribed periodic scheduleTest AEDs on prescribed periodic scheduleAssist with testing/inspection of fire alarm systems including fire panel, sprinkler systems, backflow preventers, etc.Assist with required safety inspections of inflatablesFire & Security/Life SafetyCheck functionality of safety systems (e.g., fire alarms)Inspect alarm systems (fire, burglar protection), perform minor repairs and schedule repairs via vendor(s) when neededInspect and maintain access control systemsRespond to alarms from fire and burglar monitoring services as appropriateAssembly and InstallationInstall appliances and equipmentAssemble furniture, playground equipment, etc.Pest Control/ExterminationUndertake activities of pest control such as spraying insecticide, treating for ants, etc.HousekeepingConduct general upkeep and housekeeping procedures (e.g., landscaping, picking up of debris/trash) and other tasks as assigned (painting, carpentry etc.)Perform cleaning activities such as mopping up spills, overflowed sinks, etc. as neededPerform pressure washing of sidewalks, porches, exterior walls, driveways, etc.
