Laboratory Operations ManagerThis position supports safe, efficient, and compliant laboratory operations at the Emperor Boulevard site by managing daily laboratory logistics, facilities coordination, equipment support, vendor interactions, and administrative tasks. This role also performs calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of laboratory instrumentation to help ensure equipment remains in a state of control and fit for its intended use in the non-GMP research environment. They coordinate vendor services, oversee maintenance, and handle security protocols to support daily business operations Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinate incoming and outgoing sample shipments, perform sample logging and tracking, and manage shipments and receivingCoordinate and perform internal and external safety and equipment inspections and testingSupport environmental monitoring activities and maintain required documentationCoordinate laboratory equipment maintenance, repair, and calibration activitiesPerform corrective and preventative maintenance calibrations on laboratory instrumentation and equipmentPerform maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, calibration, and repair of electrical circuits, components, and analytical laboratory instrumentsEnter and update CMMS system information relevant to calibrations performedProvide recommendations for instrumentation and metrology spare parts and preventative maintenance proceduresWork closely with R&D scientific teams at Emperor Boulevard to help ensure instrumentation remains compliant and fit for its intended use in the non-GMP research environmentSupport calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of instrumentation used in bioanalytical, research biology, and in vitro testing at Emperor BoulevardAssist in the maintenance and review of calibration standards and vendor calibration documentationWork with contract service providers and support contractors executing calibration and metrology activitiesTrack equipment status, managing laboratory asset recordsManage compressed gas cylinders and liquid nitrogen, including safety checks and inventoryPerform daily and weekly building walks to identify maintenance or safety issuesEscort facility and laboratory vendors as requiredSupport generator maintenance and review service agreementsSupport general building needs and unscheduled facilities visitsCoordinate refrigeration preventative maintenance with vendors and departmentsManage glassware cleaning operationsOrder, receive, resupply, and track laboratory consumablesPerform inventory checks and stock managementCoordinate lab coat services, office housekeeping and cleaning activitiesSupport general laboratory supply needs including tissue procurementOrder office suppliesRequired Qualifications and SkillsAssociate or bachelor's degree in life sciences, facilities management, or a related field, or equivalent experienceExperience working in a laboratory, research, or regulated environment preferredFamiliarity with chemical and biohazard waste handling proceduresExperience coordinating vendors and managing service schedulesStrong organizational, documentation, and communication skillsExperience with CMMS, inventory systems, and ERP tools (e.g., NetSuite) preferredExperience with instrumentation calibration, maintenance, or troubleshooting of laboratory equipment preferredAbility to recognize what needs to be done, taking action, and accomplishing results as the situation demandsSupervisory ResponsibilityNoneConfidential DataYesTravel RequirementsNoDESCRIBE WORK ENVIRONMENT Climate controlled office or laboratory environment.
