In this essential role, you will be a proactive force in maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient environment across our campus facilities.
If you are a change-driven thinker who thrives in an autonomous, fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you.Key ResponsibilitiesQuality Control & Inspections: Conduct daily campus walkthroughs to ensure all facilities are functional and meet safety/cleanliness standards. Identify maintenance issues and develop solutions for long-term improvements.Work Order Management: Receive, track, and manage work order requests. Ensure timely resolution and escalate critical issues to the Facilities Operations Manager to maintain service expectations.Vendor Coordination: Act as the primary point of contact for internal teams and external vendors.
Coordinate repairs, maintenance, and installations while ensuring high-quality service and timely completion.HelpDesk Management: Monitor, prioritize, and update the status of facility tickets to maintain an efficient workflow and keep campus stakeholders informed.What You Bring to the TeamSelf-Motivation: The ability to handle tasks autonomously and troubleshoot facility issues with minimal guidance.Operational Organization: Highly detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize multiple moving parts effectively.Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate seamlessly with contractors, vendors, and university staff.Technical Savvy: Proficiency in Google Suite and familiarity with facility management software or ticketing systems.Preferred QualificationsPrior experience in facilities, property management, building services, or a similar operational role.A proactive approach to troubleshooting and a track record of providing practical solutions to physical plant challenges.Note to Applicants: This position is fully onsite in Brooklyn.
