Facilities Engineering ManagerMarsh Furniture Company is seeking a highly skilled and hands-on Facilities Engineering Manager to serve as the strategic partner and technical leader to our maintenance organization. Based in High Point, NC, this role focuses on improving reliability, optimizing systems, and supporting maintenance execution through proactive management, sound investment, and technical leadership.This position is ideal for an experienced engineer who excels at diagnosing complex facility and equipment issues, strengthening preventive maintenance programs through CMMS utilization, and helping extend the life of a well-maintained facility.Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Support & Reliability EngineeringAct as the primary technical resource for the maintenance team, providing expertise in troubleshooting and problem-solvingAnalyze chronic equipment and facility issues; develop sustainable, root-cause-based solutionsSupport maintenance in improving uptime, system reliability, and response effectivenessLead construction, expansion, improvement, and efficiency projects involving creativity and capital expenditure.Facilities & Infrastructure ExpertiseProvide technical oversight and guidance for critical systems, including:Boiler and steam systemsCompressed air systemsDust collection systemsFire detection, alarm, and prevention (sprinkler) systemsIndustrial electrical distribution systemsClimate Control Systems (Humidification, AMU, etc.)Develop standards, procedures, and best practices to ensure long-term system healthHelp balance operational demands with proactive maintenance in a well-maintained seasoned facilityParticipate in an on-call rotation and respond to off-hours facility or safety emergencies, including reporting to the site as needed to assess and resolve issues.CMMS Optimization & Maintenance StrategyServe as the functional owner/subject matter expert for the CMMS systemImprove preventive and predictive maintenance strategies through data-driven insights and artificial intelligenceEnsure accuracy and completeness of asset data, work orders, and maintenance historiesEstablish inventory structure for spare equipment parts and reusable maintenance suppliesPartner with maintenance leadership to prioritize and plan work effectivelyManufacturing Equipment SupportProvide technical support for production equipment, including automated and computer-controlled systemsCollaborate with operations, engineering, and maintenance teams to resolve complex equipment issuesAssist in evaluating equipment upgrades, modifications, and performance improvementsComprehensive tooling management supportFleet Management (Forklifts, Tractors, Carts, etc.)Capital & Continuous Improvement InitiativesIdentify opportunities to modernize facility infrastructure and improve efficiencySupport capital project planning, scope development, and executionDrive initiatives focused on reliability, energy efficiency, and cost reductionSupport TPM related initiativesSafety & ComplianceProvide technical guidance to ensure systems meet safety, environmental, and regulatory requirementsSupport inspections and compliance for boilers, electrical systems, and other critical infrastructureRequirementsRequiredBachelor's degree in Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience)7+ years of experience in manufacturing facilityStrong experience using and optimizing a CMMS systemDeep technical knowledge of:Boiler and steam systemsCompressed air systemsDust collection systemsIndustrial electrical systemsClimate Control systemsDemonstrated success supporting maintenance teams in a technical leadership roleExperience maintaining and improving performance in seasoned industrial facilitiesPreferredExperience in wood products, cabinetry, or similar manufacturingFamiliarity with PLCs, controls, and industrial automationCertification such as CMRP or similar reliability/maintenance credentialsExperience with energy management or facility modernizationCore CompetenciesStrong analytical and root cause problem-solving skillsAbility to influence and partner effectively with or without direct authorityHands-on, practical engineering approachData-driven mindset with focus on continuous improvementClear communicator across maintenance, operations, and leadershipAbout Marsh Furniture Company:Marsh is a family-owned cabinetry manufacturer with a 120-year legacy of innovation, reliability, and service.
